BSA R12 CLX Bolt Action PCP Air Rifle

Following the successful introduction of the Ultra CLX model in 2021 and the R12 CLX Pro in September 2022, BSA Guns is pleased to announce the release in the form of the R12 CLX Bolt Action. It will be available in three stock options produced by Minelli, walnut, black pepper laminate, and the black edition. Available in the two main calibers 4.5mm (.177) and 5.5mm (.22).

Building on the success of the R10SE, they have carefully designed the new R12 CLX Bolt action to not only enhance the classic features of its predecessor, but also add key benefits and enhancements that allow this new variant to reach even higher levels of performance.

Designed, developed and manufactured in Birmingham, England, they have harnessed the best in new design and prototyping processes. Throughout this process, they have kept the core values of the R10SE firmly in their minds. They engage with Minelli's expert designers in Italy to ensure that together they deliver a new cylinder head design that was clearly a "BSA" and that the result achieved was fully in line with the brief.

Key changes introduced for the new R12 CLX Bolt Action include the use of the Mono-block platform which reduces components, reduces complexity and improves reliability and efficiency. As this is a CLX model it uses the 12 shot magazine system with the added safety features of a 'cocked' indicator, and following feedback from consumers opposed to the current trend of side levers, for this model they have installed BSA's prized bolt action. Air efficiency has improved with a completely new regulator and they have kept the stock 200cc air bottle for this model. Changes to the front of the cylinder head mean that for the first time, a larger 280cc or 400cc cylinder can also be used without any modification. Also, by adjusting the position of the pre-installed sling bolts, a bipod can now be installed without interfering with the position of the quick-fill system.

Using higher grade materials and components, such as stainless steel shot probes and a larger, clearer gauge that makes it easier to read air pressure in the air rifle, these new features point towards a PCP air rifle that maintains the spirit of the R10SE. but it shares very few components of its predecessor. In fact, the only major components shared are the trigger and trigger guard, and because it's a BSA, it features the world-renowned cold-hammer-forged, crowned-and-choked, manual-chambered barrel...possibly the most accurate cannon available.

The CLX magazine holds 12 shots and includes a shot countdown window to ensure you have full visibility and control of how many shots you have left. An additional charger is also supplied within the sales package.
